Lovely day in Chicago today;

It started raining around 8:30 am and may stop sometime before 7 pm. And it's unusually cool: officially just 14°C at O'Hare right now.
But humans are adaptable to the world, and dogs are adaptable to humans. Cassie got a 45-minute walk at 7 am, and at lunchtime I let her pee outside before taking her to the parking garage where we did two full laps. Each lap is about 300 meters, so that was something like three city blocks. Not a lot, but good for 1,500 steps including getting up and down stairs and to her pee spot. I'm also happy to report that she didn't waste any time doing her job. Anyone who has spent 10 minutes in pouring rain watching a dog completely fail to pee knows what I mean.
Meanwhile, I've caught up with some reading and I'm about to spend a couple of quality hours with Claude Sonata implementing some new features for this app.
The weather tomorrow through Saturday should be much better, with highs in the low 20s (high 20s Saturday) and generally sunny skies from noon tomorrow. If so, Cassie and I should get back to the 4+ km walks we've taken every day the past week.
