Two sunrises
We've had an unusual run of really great weather this month, which may soon change as a more autumnal pattern starts emerging tomorrow. We're less than 38 hours from November, after all, so things will get cooler and cloudier.
With the sun rising so late this time of year, I'm up just before the sun most days. So this week I managed to get a couple of lucky photos right at dawn.
On Sunday, I saw this 300-meter lake freighter on the horizon and immediately slapped my 300 mm lens on my Canon to capture it:

This morning we got this light show about 10 minutes before the sun came up as the incoming broken cloud layer hadn't yet made its way across the whole lake:

The sun comes up at 6:23 Sunday morning and before 7 for the rest of November, so I might see fewer sunrises until Thanksgiving or so. I will say, though, it's the best part about living in my current apartment.
