Two days after the election, we still have 2 Senate races and about 50 in the House that haven't been decided. California and Mississippi both count ballots postmarked on election day, so we can't know the outcomes of some races until 14 and 5 days, respectively, after the vote. If Democrat Scott Colom wins his Senate race in Mississippi, it'll be comeuppance for sitting Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith.

Of course some election stories made it to my inbox today, but other notices of great social and political import also caught my eye:

Finally, federal judge April Perry (of Broadview Six fame) has allowed a lawsuit against McDonald's to go forward. The allegation: McRib sandwiches don't contain rib meat:

McDonald’s noted there was a 'Mc' before the word 'rib' in the sandwich’s name to identify the product as being from the company. But Judge Perry, ruling that the suit could proceed, said that 'the alleged problem is not the prefix but the suffix.'"

Quel horreur ! What's next? There's no moon in a moon pie? No rocks in Pop Rocks? No bomp in the bomp bah bomp bah bomp? What is this world coming to?

At least, while admitting there's no rib in McRibs, McDonald's swears under penalty of perjury there aren't any pig anuses, either.
